    Re: Tennessee gets 11th committment...

did the same with Tyrod Taylor

VT offered several CB's out of state, (Marcus Gilchrist, Gary Gray, Mario Butler, etc.) i was talking in-state...we would've only taken one though

so i'll put it differently...in the case of the athletes VT offered this year and what they were looking for...VT saw better athletes and put them ahead of Fleming and thus didn't offer Fleming...that better??

year in, year out VT has the same records as all of the big boys (excluding USC) and we do it with about the same recruiting class each year except our recruiting has seen a steady climb since joining the ACC

    ill take our chances

VT's final record over the last five years.

    '01 8-4, losses to syracuse 14-22, Pitt 7-38, UM 24-26, FSU 17-30

    '02 10-4, Syracuse 42-50, Pitt 21-28, WVU 18-21, UM 45-56

    '03 8-5, WVU 7-28, Pitt 28-31, BC 27-34, UVA 21-35,
    Cal 49-52

    '04 10-3, USC 13-24, NC State 16-17, Auburn 13-16,

    '05 11-2, UM 7-27, FSU 22-27

doesn't really look like records that the big boys had

Take into consideration tech's strength of schedule over the past 5 years, and how many games they have won on the national stage.

I think its one win against a team that finished in the top 10, miami back in o3.

Texas got left off the list too, their win percentage is way up there.
